Tools and mindset

Im advanced FAWE user and rely on it to do most of the heavy lifting.
Casual enjoyer of VoxelSniper (use it mostly for sculpting or editing landscape).
Like to use GoPaint in case of fawe brushes being too slow/small for the task.
Advanced user of ArmorStandTools (one of the best tool for bringing life to the scene).
Axiom newbie o/ (Wont be hard to learn more but so far fawe knowledge was more than enough) -
Had experience planning and creating new simple-ish landscapes in WorldPainter and fully renovating old maps.
Can use WP to plan cities/villages on either specific or newly created terrain, lay down paths, cover surface with forests, greenery and other nature using schematic folder, generate fields, prepare zones or poits of interests, apply game&level design skills according to maps purpose. -
Can convert your worlds&maps between different versions while replacing new/modded blocks with available/chosen pallet, removing/adding ores, caves etc
-
I use old laptop for work and that means i dont have access to fancy stuff like good quality rendering/recording or using shaders (i only turn them on for screenshots and struggle to load chunks and position camera all while having <10fps). Editing large map sections will also take more time due to hardware restrictions, same could be said for basically any task that requires decent pc (such as running multiple applications, games etc)
-
Own one Minecraft Java account, unfamiliar with bedrock and minecraft marketplace publishing

Value and implement core principles of realistic architecture, construction and engeneering - even in fantasy works. Very much dislike and avoid sensless details or casual bs like flat brick ceilings, putting frame supports into load-bearing walls, using columns that dont line up with each others footprint, building with massive offscaling, screaming style and pallet inconsistancies etc
Bulding is truly my passion, meaning that i will never submit stuff that i dont like or find mediocre, and more often than not i would go out of my way to ensure the task allows for me to make cozy or cool stuff that players will remember, associate with the server/gamemode and be able to enjoy their stay for a long time while avoiding visual overstimulation. I believe that good long-lasting build can have something memorable about it while not being overwhelming or tiring.
Work related stuff
-
Im officially done with studying and dont have strict schedule (nor time-consuming day job), so you can expect me to do things pretty fast (if i actually like what im doing, which i do most of the times). I always act responsibly and regularly communicate on progress i make
-
Im not interested in working under strict contracts or nda's, mainly because its incredibly hard, stressfull and painfull for me to read through formal text and filter out all of the bs to actually understand whats it all about (more on that below). I believe in mutual trust between kind people and respect everyones personal boundries and comfort zones - myself included.
-
For general commissions you only pay once the build is finished, accepted and delivered, unless its something huge that takes many days to complete.
-
I prefer not to estimate prices of my works by its rectangular blueprint size, volume or radius, but rather by its complexity, level of care&detail put into the work, and more importantly - time that i have spent building it. With average being 10$/h which may be lower (in case of having an easy&straightforward task) or higher (hard tasks with extra steps like asset importing, deliberate planning, furnituring etc) but never unreasonable or higher than average market price.
-
After paying for custom build you are free to use it however you like, i wont be profiting from it in the future - might ask to use some saved assets tho, or restore ownership once you no longer use map yourself
Before working with me...
You should know about my dyslexia and how it affects my daily life. I feel like i have to warn people about its direct effects on me since it might play a big part in potential interactions and coworking:
-
I cant read any books or texts with more than ~5 pages, at least not without hurting my brain and spending all of my energy on desperately trying to make sense of it (forced to rely on audiobooks since middle school)
-
Im not comfortable using vc or talking overall (even in my native languages) and would likely decline any offer that requires me to participate in calls verbally (text is fine, i've grown used to it)
-
I understand both spoken and casually written english well, but it will take longer for me to analise big messages and come up with a comprehensive responce.
I often do go back and ask about stuff i might not understand right or misinterprite somehow. -
I take much more time to analise dense text walls and as such i do it thoroughly and take tasks with all seriousness, usually providing detailed feedback if i have something to say (usually i do)
-
Im not comfortable in situations where general smalltalk or casual offtopic communication is required
-
I type noticably slower than usual and re-read most of my messages once or twice after sending (often before sending as well). To ensure that i always stay on point and only say relevant and important stuff. Dont use autocorrection and edit own messages a lot if i have to go with a flow
-
Never lie or make stuff up as i go (i just cant lol)
-
Sometimes i have troubles understanding and using sarcasm, irony or other fancy language, depends on how tired my brain is
-
Compensate on visual learning - easily pick up and implement existing visual style, details or patterns. Have no problems replicating, adapting and expanding on any real life/media referrences and fill up the gaps as i go (had plenty of experiences with renovating and improving old builds while preserving original vibe).
-
Think exclusively with images/feelings (never words or sentences) and try my best to convey them through art
Despite all that i really enjoy chatting with kind, patient and respective people just as much as any other person would, it just drains more time and energy from me sadly :c (getting done with this page took me just a few hours longer than you might expect <_<)
Feel free to ask more specific or personal questions here, im never toxic or rude with ppl o/
